Widget v2 - Best Practices

Customization

The preferred customization method is via the widget configurator in the bookingkit software. The configurator allows you to select experiences, adjust display options, and alter the look and feel of the widget.

If you need to introduce more aggressive style changes, you can use custom CSS code that can be managed in the widget configurator or applied directly on your website.

Warning: Do not manipulate the checkout styles or code. You can break the purchase flow and cause errors.

Widget in the iframe

The widget should not be put in an iframe. This can cause display issues and reduce the accuracy of tracking.

Container dimensions

The Bookingkit widget has a flexible size and is responsive to the container dimensions. The height of the widget varies and depends on the content.

The preferred width for desktop devices is 1240px.

Single Page Applications

The Bookingkit widget v2 is not best suited for Single Page Applications. Consider using widget v3 or placing widget v2 on separate pages.

Multiple widgets

Do not include multiple widgets (containers or scripts) on one page.

Tracking

The Bookingkit widget can emit tracking events to provide a seamless tracking experience throughout the user journey, including e-commerce events. Find out more here.
